Château Bel Air La Royere
————
It was “love at first sight” when Corinne & Xavier Loriaud purchased this quaint, old estate in 1992. After putting in dedicated hours of hard work and passion, their efforts have produced a supple and silky wine with rich, fruity flavors. On the nose, you can sense hints of blackberry, fig, tobacco and heavy oak. Comprised of 65% Merlot, 35% Malbec, this fine wine owes its good breeding to the high quality of the terroir. It also depends on the harvest of perfect fruit that is rich and ripe. Winemaking finishes off the work in the vines while constant monitoring of the product ensures its proper development and evolution. This medium-bodied wine is an excellent one that will improve with age!

Château Beaulieu Comtes des Tasses
——-
After several years as a wine broker, Guillaume de Tastes (manager of Château Beaulieu Comtes des Tasses ), brings extensive commercial experience to the world of Bordeaux wines. 700 years of history color every step of the winemaking process of this château. Each step has been perfected: from the selection of grapes in its vineyard, to the considerable amount of manual labor and attention to detail in crafting the wine.  The vineyard sits on a plateau composed of clay-limestone, facing the right bank of the Dordogne River. It is well-protected from pests by a natural, westward blowing wind.
——-
Composed of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine is well-balanced, aromatic, and elegant with flavors of ripe fruit.

Château Beau Soleil
———
Since 2005, the estate has been under the direction of Thierry Rothman. Situated on the Southwest part of the Pomerol appellation, this boutique vineyard is dedicated to the production of 100% Merlot wine.
———
The grapes are planted on ancient soil - sand mixed with fine gravel that lies above an iron-rich subsoil, which give the Beau Soleil wine its flavor. You’ll find the the pleasant taste of Merlot dominant throughout the wine balanced with the flexibility and roundness of fresh red fruit, flowers, and licorice notes.
———
New-age winemaking in stainless steel vats with modern temperature regulations systems ensures that quality and taste of the grapes is respected. The 35% of the wine is left to mature in barrels, 35 % in barrels used for one vintage, and the remaining 30 % to mature in barrels used for two vintages.

Trolleys stacked with stemware clink past conference rooms overflowing with the curious and the thirsty at Vinexpo Asia-Pacific, the region’s largest wine and spirits fair.
——-Meanwhile, more than 50 people are taking their seats for the first Saint-Émilion Pomerol Fronsac master class. While the area is not part of the coveted Haut Médoc on the Gironde estuary’s Left Bank – which regularly produces wines that sell for thousands of dollars – the Right Bank of Bordeaux is hardly the wrong side of the tracks.
